This morning the 3 white hens were desperate to get into the house to lay. I didn't want them getting in and messing with the eggs so I shut them on the driveway while I let the Captain out. They were MAD but too bad for them. Captain ran out, had a quick bite to eat, a big drink then took off around the corner to her favourite place, the dust bath.
These 3 stood at the gate and worried amongst themselves.
I found them later (once C Hook was locked away) all 3 in the cat cage, they looked rediculous!
Here are her eggs, all lined up and ready. I believe the circle formation is so they are free to hatch with out the direct pressure of her on top of them. Big ends up! I did listen to them but heard nothing today.
What delicious photos and story. You are having a to-do down there with those 3 norty chooks. LOL. I've been listening here too. But no sounds yet. I'm wondering about tomorrow morning? I'm hoping. I'm getting so nervous it's not funny. Perhaps even more nervous than when I was pregnant. Is that weird?!
ReplyDeleteDan likes Captain Hook running (so does Mummy!).
ReplyDeleteSarah thought that when Captain Hook ran it was cute and funny.
