Today our babies ventured out into the world for the first time. I sat quietly in the pen while the big boys were at kindy and Sage was asleep. Hook carefully brought them outside and showed them a few things. At first everyone was hesitant but they soon got the hang of it. She showed them how to scratch for bugs and how to do her favourite thing, have a dust bath.
Their personalities are really showing now. queenie is a bit of a dreamer, wanders off by himself and gazes off into the sunshine. Hook called them all inside at one point and he got lost, couldnt find the door but didnt panie, just sort of bumbled about looking.
Here they are watching how to have a bathand having a scratch. Rita is the most nervous, always last out of the house and likes to be right by Hook. Rose is quite brave, isnt really worried about staying with the others. Lulu stayed close to Hooks face today. It seemed like she was really trying to learn how to be a big hen.
This is Betty, Gold Laced Wyandotte. Shes very cute and a wee bit shy. She likes to take things slowly. (thinking about specialising in poultry photography HA!)
Oh my goodness your photos are AMAZING! Loving your stories. Loving your photos. Loving your videos.
